SORROWFUL
February 4, 2010
By: Rhiana
Like a knife that was stabbed into my heart
the words you left that kept me wondering
distance made by choice and kept us apart
words of hatred and anger unrevealing
The mask of sorrow that kept me alive
joy and laughter that once was in my heart
through years have passed and I’ve strived
if only I knew this pain from the start
To save or to let go to think of this emotion
not a person living in this life can spare me
questioning to my heart all the reasons
the thing that made me feel this uncanny
From this day forward I must learn to fight
and slay the cause of the pain within my heart
when I pass through darkness and see the light
would somehow expect tomorrow to be bright.
